The message announces the retirement of the Policy Management feature for Draft with Copilot in Outlook on April 15, 2024. Administrators will no longer be able to disable Draft with Copilot in Outlook, and instead, eDiscovery for Copilot in Outlook is recommended.
Microsoft Teams will replace the ‘Add registrations to meetings’ feature with the new ‘Webinar’ meeting type. The change will take effect on June 30th, 2024. Teams Admins will not be able to assign the “-AllowMeetingRegistration” to any new users, and Teams users with this policy will not be able to create any new ‘meetings with registration’ post-June 30th, 2024. Microsoft Stream will support playlist publishing on SharePoint Online pages using a new Stream web part. The rollout will begin in early April 2024 and users will have two options for embedding playlists on a SharePoint page. No admin action is required for the rollout.
The URL to manage distribution groups in Microsoft Outlook on the web will be updated to point to the new Exchange Admin Center. The old URL will continue to work until mid-2024. Non-admin users will be redirected to the new Exchange Admin Center. The update will happen automatically in early April 2024 and users are advised to refer to the article on managing Distribution Groups for more details.
Test Base for Microsoft 365 will reach end-of-life on May 31, 2024. Customers will receive instructions on how to complete the offboarding process to prevent disruption to their business. All customer data will be permanently deleted after May 31, 2024. For more information, review the Test Base FAQ and End-of-life Announcement.
Microsoft products and scenarios are now available at the cloud.microsoft domain, in parallel with the previous domains. The previous domains will be redirected to cloud.microsoft in the coming months. Users will be redirected to applications under cloud.microsoft domains gradually and automatically. No specific user action is required.
Microsoft Teams Phone devices will soon have the feature to redirect incoming calls directly to voicemail without accepting or rejecting the call. Admins can control the rollout by configuring the ‘AllowCallRedirect’ parameter in the Teams calling policy. Users should ensure their Teams phone devices are updated to access the new feature. Rollout will happen automatically by the specified date.
