Microsoft Viva Pulse will introduce new templates, enable conversations in Pulse reports, and offer eDiscovery and Microsoft 365 Audit support. These updates are available in Public Preview and will roll out in early September 2024. Features will be enabled by default with no admin action needed.
Outlook for iOS and Android will prompt users to open PDFs with sensitivity labels in the Microsoft 365 app starting early September 2024, with full rollout by late October. This update is automatic and requires no admin action but informing users is recommended.
Microsoft is updating the Microsoft Secure Score in Defender for Endpoint to better reflect security posture, removing the recommendation SCID-84 for Local Admin password management. The change will occur from mid-September to mid-October 2024, with no action required from admins.

Starting August 30, 2024, Microsoft 365 admin center will retire the ‘Send password in email’ feature. Admins should use the ‘Print’ option for secure sharing of user account details. This update is a reminder from an earlier announcement and no action is required from admins.
The Microsoft Teams admin center will soon allow the deployment of location-based frontline teams with flexible membership, where admins can use dynamic rules for automatic updates and team owners can manage members. This rollout, associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 410774, will begin in early October 2024 and is expected to be completed by mid-November 2024. It will be on by default with no required admin action before the rollout.
Microsoft Viva Amplify will introduce ‘Design ideas’ for authors to enhance sections with new layouts and formats, rolling out in September 2024. This feature will be available by default for users with Authoring permissions and requires no admin action prior to rollout.

Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows will soon allow direct meeting recording start/stop with a Teams Rooms Pro license and app version 5.2. Rollouts begin mid-October 2024, with different timelines for Worldwide, GCC, GCC High, and DoD. The feature will be on by default and configurable by admins.
