Copilot will enable the edit box on any worksheet regardless of selection. Copilot will reason over the nearest table or data range to the customer’s selected grid area on the same worksheet.
Microsoft Teams will introduce custom emojis and reactions, allowing users to upload images or GIFs. Each tenant can add up to 5,000 custom emojis. The feature will be available by default, with rollout starting late June 2024. Admins can manage this feature through the Teams Admin Center.
A new feature in Microsoft Stream will provide engagement metrics for interactive videos, showing unique viewer counts, interaction percentages, and average attention time. Rollout begins mid-May 2024 for Targeted Release and mid-June 2024 for General Availability, with no admin action required.

Microsoft Teams is introducing live closed captions for the Walkie Talkie app, aiding frontline workers in noisy environments. This feature will be available in June 2024, with real-time voice-to-text captions in selected languages, displayed on the Walkie Talkie app’s home screen. Admins cannot disable this feature. Users should be informed to prepare for this update.
We are updating the scheduling assistant view to help users have better readability. Some of these changes are in alignment to customer the feedback. These changes will also improve the grid lines, availability view, adding combined availability bar and much more. Customers can get more conversational answers to a broader range of Excel-related questions and prompts from Copilot. For example, the customer can ask how to accomplish a task and Copilot will respond with helpful steps that may include formulas to copy and use. In some cases, Copilot may explain a formula error and supply the corrected formula plus additional guidance to ensure the formula works properly.
On the desktop experience for Viva Connections, operators will be able to effortlessly import SharePoint links from their home site navigation and global navigation directly into the Resources section.
Major improvements to our Copilot Compose experience include a polished, lightweight UI.
