Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for Windows now consistently show the same policy tips that SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business sites have determined should be shown on a file.
Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention end-user email notification is getting advanced customization options:
1. Extensive Token Support which provides precise details to end users using the expanded token library.
2. DLP Exchange rule matched email attachment control to choose to include/exclude matched email as an attachment in end-user notifications.
3. Tailored Email Content to customize the sender display name and email body using HTML, markdown, or plain text.
4. Ability to preview the email notification to ensure it meets your requirements.
In Teams settings, users have the option to select their preferred skin tone. This preference will be applied to all emojis and reactions in chats, channels, and desktop/web meetings, allowing users to express themselves more authentically in conversations.

In Microsoft Stream (on SharePoint), users reported problems downloading video in View mode, despite having download permissions. We’ve fixed this problem and added a Download button in View mode of the Stream Web app for users with download permissions.

Microsoft SharePoint Embedded, currently in Public Preview, is an API-only solution empowering app developers to leverage the file and document storage in Microsoft 365 to create line-of-business or multitenant applications. Microsoft Loop is an example of a SharePoint Embedded application.
Organizations who are using SharePoint Embedded applications on their Microsoft 365 tenants are the consuming tenants. With this rollout, alongside PowerShell, consuming tenant admins have the added ability to manage SharePoint Embedded applications registered in their tenant directly through the SharePoint admin center. To access this functionality, administrators must assign the new SharePoint Embedded Administrator role when it becomes available in early March 2024 in the Microsoft 365 admin center. New Embedded Administrators must log in to the SharePoint admin center.
This new Microsoft Teams feature for Town Hall empowers organizers, presenters, and even external presenters to engage in private discussions before, during, and after their virtual events. This functionality facilitates real-time collaboration, whether prepping pre-event, coordinating seamlessly during presentations, or debriefing post-event, this feature is your ultimate tool for driving impactful and successful virtual events.
On the Town Hall Scheduling form, the event organizer must define their presenters and external presenters for this exclusive group chat to be created. After the event is created, the organizer can access this chat before/after the event from the Town Hall Scheduling form, the Teams Calendar, or the event’s Details page. Presenters (and external presenters from guests and federated tenants) can access this chat before/after the event from the Teams Calendar or the event’s Details page. This chat will appear in their chat pane. During the event, organizers, presenters, and external presenters (including anonymous presenters) can access this chat from within the in-meeting chat by selecting the tab for Organizers and Presenters.
