We are excited to announce that admins now have a self-serve way to disable roaming signatures themselves for their tenants for Outlook on the web (formerly known as Outlook Web App or OWA) and the new Outlook for Windows. Please note that for Windows, the registry setting to disable roaming signatures will continue to work and is the only way to disable it. For more information, see Outlook roaming signatures.

Azure Active Directory: Auto-rollout of Conditional Access policies

Starting in November 2023, Microsoft will begin automatically protecting customers with Microsoft managed Conditional Access policies. These are policies that Microsoft creates and enables in customer tenants. The following policies will be rolled out to all eligible tenants:

1. MFA for admin portals: This policy covers privileged admin roles and requires MFA when an admin signs into a Microsoft admin portal.

2. MFA for per-user MFA users: This policy covers users with per-user MFA and requires MFA for all cloud apps.

3. MFA for high-risk sign-ins: This policy covers all users and requires MFA and reauthentication for high-risk sign-ins.

Users in GCCH and DOD environment can now experience the newly redesigned Teams store
including adding apps for personal use, getting intelligent recommendations – like featured apps, popular apps amongst your colleagues, etc., receiving editorial articles that address common scenarios from apps to get started in Teams to those best for educators, searching apps faster and easier with updated app categories. They can also use “Manage your apps” to update, remove,
share or “get more apps”.

Microsoft Teams: Teachers can (manually) update parent data in Parent App

Allow teachers to add and edit existing parent data inside the Parent app. This request to update parent information can be directly made by teachers inside the Parent app. Once the request is raised, it needs an admin approval before updating the parent information in the app.

Workflows within Microsoft Teams chats menu

Microsoft Teams will be bringing workflows powered by Power Automate into the overflow menu for chats.

To make sure Microsoft Teams provides the best workflow experience for our users we are making it easier to configure workflows for chats. From the list of chats users will be able to go into the overflow menu for a specific chat (…) and select “Workflows”. Here they will see a list of workflow templates specific to chats within Teams. Users can then configure these templates to their needs and deploy them to the chat.

As part of the Teams Premium package, we are introducing a new management capability: Priority Account Chat Controls that empower users with decision making controls for unwanted internal communications via policies setting. Users are notified about chats from new contacts, giving them a choice to accept or block the conversations.
