The January 2024 Windows non-security preview update is now available for Windows 10, version 22H2



Admins can customize the privacy statement shown to attendees joining the appointment to address specific considerations and concerns for their online engagement. Admins can update the content for the privacy statement under the privacy profile in the Microsoft Admin Center.

Adaptive Protection will now be available in Government clouds. Adaptive Protection is a capability of Microsoft Purview that dynamically assigns appropriate Data Loss Prevention policies to users based on the risk levels analyzed by the machine learning models in Insider Risk Management. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

This feature gives the ability for the DLP admin to rename the existing policy/rule without having to create the entire the rule or policy again.

EML, MSG, and OFT files type support will enable users to open “*,eml”, “*.oft”, and “*.msg” files in the new Outlook by dragging-and-dropping them onto the reading pane, or by double-clicking on them, or by using the Open With menu option in File Explorer.

The Mute On Air feature is now available. This feature, available in the new Teams experience on Windows, enables you to mute and unmute your audio by clicking the mic icon in Windows taskbar.

Currently with webinars, you are unable to duplicate a webinar and create a new webinar based off an existing one. This can be time consuming if organizers would like to schedule multiple events that are similar to one another. To simplify event creation Microsoft Teams is introducing the ability to create a new webinar by duplicating the information for an existing scheduled one. Information includes a webinar’s details, presenters, theming, and more. The organizer can also choose to edit and update the information as needed for their new webinar.
