With “Share an Update”, leaders can share updates of their team goals to the members of their organization directly from Viva Goals. Updates are sent to users via email.

Auto-apply retention labels targeting sensitive information types in Exchange will now support static include/exclude and adaptive policy scopes. Previously admins could only target all Exchange mailboxes.

Users can now find all their emojis, GIFs, and stickers in a combined picker. Browse and discover all the fun stuff you need, all in one hub of content.

We will be enabling reactions in Outlook, a feature that is already available in world-wide multitenant, for customers in GCC moderate.

This feature allows customers to insert Stream (on SharePoint) videos into PowerPoint and Word using the existing “Insert Online Video” feature in those apps. Video playback happens inline within Word and PowerPoint with enhanced playback features such as transcripts, captions, search, chapters, and playback speed controls. Stream (on SharePoint) videos are videos stored in a user’s OneDrive Business account or in SharePoint. Note: Video insertion will be available on desktop client and web, but not on mobile. Video playback will be available on desktop client, web and mobile. PowerPoint for Mac is supported; however, Word for Mac is not supported.

Starting in September 2023, we will begin including new Microsoft Teams as part of the new and existing installations of Microsoft 365 apps for Windows depending on the schedule provided in this post. Currently, users can install the new Teams by using the Try the new Teams toggle switch in classic Teams or having administrators bulk deploy directly to the computers in their organization. Read MC533687 and MC617066 for details for earlier announcements for new Teams.
Administrators can exclude installing new Teams from their Microsoft 365 apps deployment if they don’t wish to have new Teams included in the installation.

When a third-party meeting is created from Outlook or OWA, participants of the meeting will now be able to Join the meeting directly from Microsoft Teams. The participants will see “Join” button on the Teams calendar events card and in the meeting details page. On clicking on the Join button, the link will route the users to the browser or the third-party application to join the meeting. This experience will be available on both mobile and desktop.
