Eligible Viva Engage (Yammer) networks are being automatically upgraded to native mode. If you have already received an approved exemption, that exemption is still valid for the approved date. No further exemptions are being granted.
Due to the high volume of migrations, the completion time for some automatic and self-service migrations may be longer than expected. Once notified about automatic migration, no action is required.

Exchange online protection (EOP)/ Defender for Office 365 (MDO) customers who want to send phishing simulation emails, need to configure advance delivery policy for optimal behavior. This policy will ensure that emails that match your conditions are delivered unfiltered to the Inbox and that safe links time of click protection and post-delivery actions are disabled. Previously, EOP supported this scenario for some phishing simulation vendors by honoring admin configured Exchange transport rules stamping SCL -1 or the header (X-MS-ExchangeOrganizationPhishTraining). But this was a temporary solution and will be discontinued soon. We advise all customers who use phishing simulation products to configure advance delivery policy for a smooth product experience.

As part of the effort to upgrade non-native and hybrid Viva Engage/Yammer Networks, private unlisted (“secret”) groups in Yammer were made inaccessible on September 1, 2023. The retirement of this feature was first announced via the Message center on September 1, 2022 (MC424414), then postponed on May 24, 2023 (MC560717). You can read more about the retirement of unlisted groups in this blog post which covers the announcement of three features due for retirement beginning December 1, 2022.
If you have already received an approved exception from Microsoft support delaying your migration to Native Mode, your private unlisted groups will not be affected by this change.
