Microsoft Purview built-in role groups are being extended to prepare for upcoming features and capabilities relevant to those role groups. Additional roles will be added to Microsoft Purview built-in role groups for Compliance Administrator, Information Protection related role groups, and Privacy Management related role groups.

User analytics improvements that provide deeper insights and filtering capabilities for search adoption across user segments like geography, department and occupation as well as search applications such as SharePoint, Microsoft Search for Bing, and Microsoft365.com. New capabilities include search insights from within Windows Search, Outlook, Teams and other Microsoft Office applications.

IT admin has the ability to customize Teams apps to align with the company’s brand and enhance their usefulness for employees. By creating and managing multiple customized app instances, it can improve branding, awareness, and user engagement, overcomes the limitations of a single-instance approach and enables greater adaptability to meet the diverse business needs.

In the Shifts app, we are rolling out the ability for frontline manager to control additional functionalities through our Shifts settings page. Frontline managers will gain the ability to enable and disable swap shift request, offer shift request and/or time off requests for their teams.

Microsoft Purview provides a unified solution for managing data security, governance, compliance, and privacy across your organization’s landscape. Microsoft Purview built-in role groups are being extended with new roles to prepare for upcoming features and capabilities relevant to those role groups. Additional roles will be added to Microsoft Purview built-in role groups for Compliance Administrator, Information Protection related role groups, and Privacy Management related role groups. This change will not disrupt the current capabilities for these role groups, it will enable admins in these built-in groups to manage additional data types in the future.

Catch Up allows you to stay in sync with your collaborators in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint by showing you the latest comment activity that is directed at you and a summary of recent changes. Based on your feedback, we made improvements to the Catch Up feature. The comment activity directed at you will now persist in Catch Up between sessions for up to 28 days. New items will be indicated with a blue dot for clarity. You can also dismiss items individually if you do not wish to keep them in Catch Up.

With Archive Channels, owners and administrators can archive channels that are no longer in use while preserving their content, including messages, files, and tabs. The archived channel is removed from the active teams and channels list and no more actions will be allowed. If needed, the channel can be restored.

Outlook on the Web and the new Outlook for Windows provides users with the ability to share mail and calendar with other users at different permission levels.
Starting in November 2023, tenant admins will be able to turn off the ability for users to share inbox and calendar folders by utilizing the new Office Cloud Policy Service “Turn off folder sharing.”
