We are introducing minor color, font, and icon changes to user interface on OneDrive for Web.

OneDrive for Web will soon support the ability to expand or collapse the left navigation bar. Additionally, OneDrive will have a new command, in the form of a button labeled “+ Add new”, for creating new content and uploading files/folders. This command will be available across Home, My Files, Shared, Favorites, Recycle bin, and all Shared libraries in the Quick Access section. Note: upload functionality will be accessed via the “+ Add new” command.

With this update, admins with the appropriate permissions can get tailored recommended thresholds for all the built-in indicators within the policy wizard. This feature enables organizations to finetune their insider risk policies and get an optimal number of alerts. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies to manage security and compliance. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

The new Teams has been reimagined from the ground up, delivering up to two times faster performance while using 50 percent less memory. It enables users to collaborate with people across organizational boundaries by seamlessly using Teams across multiple tenants or accounts.

As mentioned in previous message center posts (MC516263, February ’23), Microsoft is retiring Stream (Classic). Some of the retirement dates for Stream (Classic) have been extended. The new retirement date is April 15, 2024. Certain parts of the service will retire sooner unless you take action, so make sure you review the retirement timeline, prepare your users for this change, and start migrating. The successor service Stream (on SharePoint) is currently available for all customers to begin using. Encourage your users to upload and manage videos in SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Viva Engage directly.
See the full retirement timeline for more details: Migration & retirement timeline.

Approximately 7 days from today, we’re going to turn off the Remote Power Shell (RPS) protocol in your Exchange Online tenant.
As you might be aware, we made some recent changes to improve the security of your tenant. We announced in December 2022 that we would be retiring RPS in Exchange Online. In April 2023, we disabled RPS for all new tenants and in May 2023, we disabled RPS for tenants who are not using it. In June 2023, we’ll begin disabling RPS for tenants that are using it.

Since March 2023, we have continued to add features such as third-party, line-of-business (LOB) applications, breakout rooms, and new scenarios such as multi-tenant organization (MTO) to the new Teams experience. Read MC533687 for details for our March announcement. Check The new Microsoft Teams (Preview) for details on upcoming features and support for Government Clouds and platforms such as Mac, VDI, and Web.
