Microsoft Teams – Native MacOS screen and window sharing in Teams meetings

Microsoft Teams will introduce an opt-in native macOS screen and window sharing feature using Apple’s APIs, starting targeted release in early December 2025 and general availability by mid-January 2026. It is disabled by default, requires no app restart, and improves performance for Mac users in Teams meetings.

Microsoft PowerPoint: Agent Mode in Microsoft 365 Copilot

Agent Mode in Microsoft 365 Copilot for PowerPoint allows users to edit presentations conversationally while preserving formatting and branding. Available mid-November 2025 for Windows Insiders Beta Channel users with a Copilot license, it uses enterprise data to enhance slides and is enabled by default.

Microsoft Outlook Mobile: Filter out declined meetings for a cleaner calendar view

Outlook Mobile will add a setting to hide declined meetings, matching New Outlook and Outlook for the Web. This feature, rolling out December 2025 to January 2026, offers a cleaner calendar view without admin changes. Users with declined meetings shown elsewhere will see this new option.

PowerPoint adds AI-powered image editing with “Designer editor”

PowerPoint will add the AI-powered Designer editor by December 2025, enabling in-app image editing with features like generative erase, move, text editing, background removal, and auto-enhance. It will be enabled by default for all Microsoft 365 users, with usage limits based on subscription type.

Viva Engage: Community feeds improvements

Viva Engage communities will default to viewing conversations by recent posts instead of recent activity starting January 2026. The new view is on by default, includes unread indicators in all feeds, and preserves user preferences across communities. No action or compliance changes are needed.

New experiences for Copilot management in Microsoft 365 admin center

The Microsoft 365 Admin Center will feature a redesigned Copilot landing page with success metrics, actionable insights, a Security pivot for Purview, and a Usage pivot. Rollout starts mid-November 2025 for targeted release and late January 2026 for general availability, requiring no extra setup.
