Excel: Run team-owned scripts in Excel for the web

Office Scripts is an automation feature-set in Excel for the web. With this new feature, users will be able to save their scripts to a SharePoint site so that their team members can more easily collaborate, view, and run team-owned scripts on their Excel workbooks.

User requests for apps in Teams store

Microsoft Teams is designed to be the digital workspace of the organization, to help users connect and collaborate within the experience. With the updated Teams App Store launch a few months ago, a new experience is available to discover and install apps inside Microsoft Teams. Now, users on Teams can browse and find apps in the Teams Store that are blocked within the tenant and request them from the admins by clicking the ‘Request approval’ button. Admins can receive the valuable signal from the end users about desired apps to help prioritize their availability in the tenant. Our intelligent ranking algorithm on the Teams Store will continue to display apps that are popularly installed and used in the user’s tenant before showing blocked apps.

Teams PowerShell Module – versions older than 4.x.x to be retired

Upcoming, we will be retiring all Teams PowerShell Module (TPM) versions older than 4.x.x. Instead, we recommend updating the TPM module to the latest version which is where we will continue to invest our resources.

Note: If your organization has already updated to TPM version 4.x.x or above, you can safely disregard this message.

Microsoft Edge: Streamlining Microsoft 365 Application Protocol Activations

Microsoft 365 Application Protocol Activations on trusted Microsoft cloud storage services will now launch certain Microsoft 365 applications directly, including subdomains of sharepoint.com and OneDrive URLs. Group policy is available that can be used to enable the application protocol activation prompts if desired, and to define other applications and services where warnings are enabled or disabled.
