Copilot in Microsoft OneNote for Windows Desktop Update

Starting December 12, 2025, OneNote for Windows desktop will update Copilot features to open in the Copilot Chat pane instead of separate windows or direct canvas insertion. This change applies to all users automatically, with no required action, and maintains enterprise grounding and compliance.

Windows Autopatch for the US government: How to get started

The power of automated Windows update management is coming to government SKUs. This cloud-based service has now been approved to be added to the Azure FedRAMP High Provisional Authorization to Operate. If you manage Government Community Cloud (GCC) devices, this service became part of Microsoft 365 Government this month.

Microsoft Copilot Studio – Removal of the Insights widget from analytics page

Starting on November 27, 2025, the insights widget in the analytics page will no longer be available. The functionality of this widget, in addition to the ability to drill down to view the metrics of individual questions and answers, is now available in the feature Analyze user questions by theme.

Windows 11, version 23H2 (Home and Pro editions) has reached end of servicing

Today, November 11, 2025, Windows 11, version 23H2 (Home and Pro editions) has reached end of servicing. The November 2025 monthly security update is the last update available for these editions. Devices running these editions will no longer receive monthly security and preview updates containing protections from the latest security threats.

Microsoft Teams: App centric management in Teams Admin Center to manage the Apps access for tenants, end-users, and groups in GCC

App centric management introduces new admin settings to control who in the tenant can install Teams apps. First, admins can set a default value for new apps that are published to Teams app store. Second, admins can edit the availability of an app to ‘All users can install’, ‘Specific users and groups can install’, or ‘No user can install’. This feature evolves the existing app permission policies and provides admins with the ability to manage access to the app individually. The app permission policies for existing customers are migrated to maintain existing app availability in the tenant.

Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention end-user email notification is getting advanced incident remediation capabilities: actionable email notifications. This new feature allows end users to take remediation actions directly from their mailbox, streamlining the remediation process. The end users will be able take remediation actions on files on OneDrive and SharePoint that caused a policy match. Key actions now available in our email notifications include – stop sharing file, delete file, apply label, override the policy, report false positive and unable to take action.

Copilot can now automatically reschedule flexible 1:1 meetings and personal events based on user preferences to resolve scheduling conflicts. This feature, requiring a Copilot license, will roll out from mid to late November 2025 and helps save time by reducing manual rescheduling.
