Plan for Change: Endpoint Security configuration report moving to Device configuration report

With Intune’s August (2108) service release, we are making reporting improvements which includes moving the Endpoint Security configuration report to be combined with the Device configuration report. This will allow you to view all policies applied to devices in one report and see the distinction of profile types in the new “Policy type” column.

How this will affect your organization:

If you are using the Endpoint Security configuration report, this data will be moved to the Device configuration report (Devices > All devices > Select a device > Device configuration).

Note: Role-based access control (RBAC) permissions are applied to the report so it will be filtered based on your access.

What you need to do to prepare:

No action is needed, only awareness that the report is moving to a new location within the UI. If you are using the Microsoft Graph API for reporting, take advantage of the reporting improvements that will be released in August by updating your endpoint to:https://graph.microsoft.com/beta/deviceManagement/reports/getConfigurationPoliciesReportForDevice
