Plan for Change: Updates to Basic Mobility and Security URLs and user interface
In mid-May 2024, Basic Mobility and Security will undergo updates including UI changes and new URL locations. The device list UI will be updated, and the URL will change to https://admin.microsoft.com/Adminportal/Home#/IntuneDevices. APNs certificate management will move to the Microsoft Azure portal, and activating Basic Mobility and Security will shift to the Microsoft Purview overview page. Organizations should inform IT admins and update documentation and firewalls accordingly.
In mid-May 2024 we will be making several updates to Basic Mobility and Security management experience including user interface (UI) updates and new URL locations. Read the impact section below for a full list of changes.
How this will affect your organization:
We are making the following changes:
- Device list: The device list will receive an updated UI experience, and remote actions will appear individually across the top of the list, instead of in the current dropdown menu. Additionally, the current URL https://portal.office.com/adminportal/home?#/MifoDevices will be redirected to a new URL https://admin.microsoft.com/adminportal/Home#/IntuneDevices.
- Apple Push Notifications (APNs) certificate: For managing APNs certificates, you will be directed to the Microsoft Azure portal, Configure MDM Push Certificate page to complete the same steps you do today.
- Activating Basic Mobility and Security: This step will move from the current activation page to the Basic Mobility and Security overview page within Microsoft Purview.
What you need to do to prepare:
Review the information above and notify your IT admins to avoid any confusion. Additionally, update your admin documentation and your firewalls to allow access to the new URL locations as needed.
