To make it easier to view available model options we are updating the model selection and creation experience – in both the content center and team sites. This update also allows form processing models created and trained in AI Builder to be reused across libraries and sites.

A new model option – trained using AI Builder – suitable for extracting information from files contained in both fields and paragraphs is also being added to this experience.

When this will happen:

We will begin rolling out in mid-October and expect to complete rollout by early November.

How this will affect your organization:

The command bar action (“Classify and extract”) can now be used to bring up the model list as well as continuing to be used to process any selected files.

Any previously trained form processing will continue to work but to make it available to other libraries or sites it will need to be retrained.

Once a new AI Builder trained model is applied to a library, it will be available in the list for other libraries. If the model is created and trained in the content center, its availability will operate the same way as other enterprise models.

What you need to do to prepare:

There is no change to existing models. We recommend notifying your Syntex users about these updates.
