Syntex OCR is generally available

With this update, the Syntex OCR feature will move from public preview to generally available.

When this will happen:

Standard Release: We will begin rolling out mid-October 2023 and expect to complete by early November 2023.

How this will affect your organization:

You will now be able to use the GA version of Syntex OCR.  To start using Syntex OCR, visit the Syntex set up page in the Microsoft Admin Center and connect your Azure subscription to enable Pay-as-you-go billing.  Then configure the sites that you would like to have OCRed.  Also, notify your compliance admins that once billing is connected to Syntex, OCR can also be configured in Microsoft Purview.
