Remove Custom Script setting in OneDrive and SharePoint web

In the SharePoint admin center, there is a Custom Script setting that controls whether users can run custom scripts in OneDrive and SharePoint sites. This setting will be removed in March 2024.

By removing this setting, Administrators will no longer be able to control the default behavior on self-service created sites or personal sites. However, customers will still be able to temporarily enable the ability to run custom script by using PowerShell, as described in the articles mentioned below.

Retirement of AdminAuditLog and MailboxAuditLog cmdlets

We would like to inform you about an upcoming change in the way you access and manage your Exchange Online audit logs. Starting April 30, 2024, we will be retiring the following four cmdlets in the Exchange Online V3 module:

Device readiness checks for expedited Windows quality updates

If you use Windows Update for Business deployment service to expedite quality updates, your workflow is becoming easier. You can now proactively check the readiness of all devices in your organization before deploying an actual security update in an expedited way. A new article describes how you would use Microsoft Graph to call for a device readiness test. WMI command-line (WMIC) utility deprecation: Next steps

If you’re still using Windows Management Instrumentation Command line (WMIC), you’ll start seeing changes this year. While it has been deprecated for a while, you could still use it as a feature on demand (FoD). Starting January 29th, 2024, it will become “disabled by default” in the insider build of Windows 11.
