Storyline available for public preview in Yammer and Microsoft Viva Engage beginning late August

Beginning in late August, Yammer Network and Verified Admins will be able to opt into the public preview of storyline for Microsoft Viva Engage and Yammer, via a toggle control in Yammer.

Storyline empowers leaders to reach and engage people and enables everyone to connect and contribute while building their personal networks and amplifying their impact. Users share updates, experiences, and perspectives to their storyline to reach followers and colleagues. Through storyline, users can find relevant posts in their feeds and discover interesting people to follow to stay in touch with what they share.

Microsoft Purview Information Protection – Public preview of Credential SITs

Now rolling out to public preview, we’re adding new Sensitive Information Types (SITs) to allow your organization to detect credential patterns (such as access keys, tokens, general passwords), as either individual patterns for specific detection or a bundle of all credential patterns for holistic detection.

Enable media logs remotely with PowerShell cmdlets

Teams Media Logging policy can be applied to users and groups and allows IT admin to enable user’s client settings “Enable logging for meeting diagnostic”. Applied via PowerShell cmdlets, the policy overrides client settings and sets Settings > General> Enable logging for meeting diagnostic to “On”. When applied, the setting is displayed as greyed out and can’t be updated via the client.

Record a New Video on the Stream Start Page in Office Web

Microsoft 365 customers can now make demos, explainer videos, and async communication videos directly in Microsoft 365 with the new Stream camera. 

Users will now be able to use the new Stream camera to record their webcam, record their screen, add edits (think ink, text, backgrounds, and filters) and upload to their OneDrive. Future iterations of the camera will include more features, such as adding music clips.

OneDrive sync health reports now support macOS devices

The OneDrive sync health dashboard now supports macOS devices in addition to Windows devices. The dashboard provides both a high-level and detailed view of the health of OneDrive sync in your organization. 

With the OneDrive sync client at version 22.087 or later, you can configure macOS devices to send sync data.

Graph API for Teams Meetings Transcripts

New org-wide application permissions and RSC application permissions have been introduced to make sure that apps can access meeting transcripts for a specific meeting. Resource specific consent (RSC) permissions, specifically enables admins to authorize users to provide consent to apps, so they get specific access to a Teams meeting’s transcripts to which it is installed to, rather than providing them access across the entire tenant.

This message is specifically associated with post-meeting transcripts access for apps – Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID: 95788 that allows authorized apps to access Teams Meetings transcripts once the meeting is over.

General Availability of Outlook Lite for Android

We will be releasing a new Android app for Outlook called Outlook Lite. Outlook Lite brings the main benefits of Outlook in a smaller-sized app with fast performance for lightweight devices on any network. The Outlook Lite app will support Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Hotmail, Live, and MSN accounts. Support for third-party accounts and multi-account support will be enabled in the future.

Outlook Lite does not support Android Work Profile for work accounts. Outlook Lite will be initially available only in the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Mexico, Peru, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Venezuela. Support for other countries will be enabled in the future.
