Microsoft 365 admin center will support Tenant restriction v2

The Microsoft 365 admin center will soon support Tenant Restriction v2, enhancing security by limiting user access via external accounts. This feature, part of cross-tenant access settings, will be rolled out from mid-November to late December 2024 and will be off by default. No admin action is required before the rollout.

New Microsoft Outlook for Windows: Read-only support for .pst files

The new Microsoft Outlook for Windows will offer read-only support for .pst files, allowing users to open, read, and search emails in .pst files. Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks data in .pst files will not be accessible in this phase. Rollout begins late November 2024 for Targeted Release and mid-January 2025 for General Availability. Outlook Data File support is enabled by default but can be managed with the OutlookDataFile mailbox policy.

Microsoft Copilot: New user control for web searches

Microsoft Copilot will introduce a user control for web searches, allowing users to enable or disable sending queries to Bing. Rollout starts mid-December 2024 and should complete by late January 2025. Admins can disable this feature, and no action is required for the rollout.

Microsoft Teams: Best practices configuration dashboard in Teams admin center
