Text predictions in Outlook for iOS & Android

Text predictions help Microsoft 365 users write more efficiently by using intelligent technology to suggest text during composition. This feature is already available for Outlook on the web (MC225214, October 2020), Outlook for iOS in US and Canada (MC229558, December 2020), Outlook for Android in US and Canada (MC, February 2021) and Outlook for Windows (MC229381, December 2020).

Note: We are now extending support for text predictions (English only) for Outlook on iOS and Android for customers worldwide.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 88478 and 88477.

When this will happen

We will begin rolling this out in late November 2021 and expect it to be complete by late January 2022.

How this will affect your organization

When this update rolls out, users will see text predictions in Outlook for Android or Outlook for iOS when writing an email message. They’ll be able to swipe right to accept it or keep typing to ignore. Text predictions are on by default; users can disable them in Account Settings in Outlook for Android or Outlook for iOS.
