OneDrive/SharePoint Send link to Outlook sharing option is being retired

Previously we had rolled out this change and disabled the ability to share a link directly in Outlook. We have restored the functionality to ensure customers have time to educate and prepare their users as appropriate. We will be moving forward with this change as outlined below. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Users will soon be unable to share a link directly via Outlook with the sharing option in OneDrive and SharePoint. Customers still have the ability to copy a link to their clipboard; they will now need to paste that link directly into an Outlook message.

Changes to private Content Delivery Networks (CDN)

A content delivery network is a temporary cache storage location designed to optimizethe user experience by providing static files like images, JavaScript, stylesheets, and font files directly from cache locations closest to the user.

Thus the number of active sites and active files recorded in the usage report may change. We will also backfill the report with 180 days of data.
