We are announcing the connect to external sources in agents through Single Sign-On (SSO) feature for Copilot Studio. This feature allows makers to build agents in Copilot Studio that seamlessly connect to external sources without needing to manually authenticate every single time to external sources as it will happen seamlessly through SSO support. This feature will reach general availability on May 19. 2025.

Power Platform admin center – View Copilot and agent settings

We are announcing the view Copilot and agent settings within Copilot hub in the Power Platform admin center. This will enable admins to centrally view Copilot and agent settings in a consolidated view in the Power Platform admin center and will offer initial support for management at scale with environment groups and rules. The introduction of this settings page will reach general availability on May 19, 2025.

SharePoint Online: Content Security Policy Control in Tenant Administration

SharePoint Online Tenant Administrators can now control script sources for modern pages, allowing custom code from external sources like CDNs. This feature will roll out from late March to mid-May 2025, providing a “Trusted script sources” page for managing and enforcing trusted script sources. No admin action is required.

Refreshed placeholders in PowerPoint desktop

PowerPoint desktop image placeholders are being refreshed for a modern look and clearer guidance on object insertion, allowing selection from various sources. Rollout starts mid-April 2025 and completes by mid-June 2025. Inform brand managers as it affects company templates; no admin action required.

Microsoft SharePoint Online: We will remove retired DISCO and WSDL web pages

Microsoft SharePoint Online will remove retired DISCO and WSDL web pages between mid-August 2025 and mid-September 2025. ASP.NET web services were deprecated in 2013. Microsoft Teams: The “Code snippets” feature for chats and channels will retire

Microsoft Teams will retire the “Code snippets” feature for chats and channels between May 30, 2025, and June 16, 2025. Users should transition to “code blocks,” which are faster and more efficient. Existing code snippets will remain accessible, and no admin action is required.

Microsoft Teams admin center: Improvements to controls for Microsoft 365 Copilot

Improvements to Microsoft 365 Copilot controls in the Microsoft Teams admin center are rolling out from April to May 2025. These changes will prevent errors by disabling conflicting Copilot options when transcripts are off. Admins need to review and adjust settings accordingly. No action is required before the rollout.

Microsoft Viva Amplify: Support for sensitivity labels in Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Viva Amplify will soon support sending mail with sensitivity labels in Microsoft Outlook. In tenants where admins have enabled sensitivity labels on email, users will see the Sensitivity label menu in the Outlook audience selector in Amplify. This menu will respect settings that admins configured for labels, such as requiring the label, providing justifications, and so on. When an email is sent from Amplify, the received email will have the appropriately sensitivity label.

If you have not set up sensitivity labels in your tenant, this feature will not impact your tenant.

Microsoft Designer will be part of Copilot, with new template and slide design suggestions in Microsoft PowerPoint

Microsoft Designer will be integrated into Microsoft 365 Copilot as “Design suggestions” for users with a Copilot license. This feature will be available in PowerPoint on both Windows and Mac desktops. Non-Copilot users will continue to have access to standard Designer layouts. The rollout will occur automatically by specified dates.

Microsoft Purview | Retiring Classic Content Search, Classic eDiscovery (Standard) Cases, Export PowerShell Parameters

Microsoft Purview will retire Classic Content Search, Classic eDiscovery (Standard) Cases, and Export PowerShell Parameters on May 26, 2025. Users should transition to the new Content Search, Cases tab in Purview eDiscovery, and Microsoft Graph eDiscovery APIs. This update will happen automatically. Notify users and update documentation accordingly.
