Viva Insights users will now be able request delegate access from a Manager in the Insights Teams or Web app. Previously, Managers could assign delegates, but potential delegates could not request access from a Manager. This request access update will allow for increased ease & flexibility of providing delegate access in Insights.
This card will help operators add a card on the Viva Connections Dashboard which will provide quick access to the frequently accessed and followed sites by the end user.
Microsoft Teams will soon allow anonymous users to join meetings with watermarked access to all content. Rollout begins early November 2024, with full availability by mid-November. Admins’ watermark policies remain unchanged, while users will see a watermark of their entered guest name. The feature is default but can be altered via PowerShell script.
Declarative Agents are now available in Word and PowerPoint Web, allowing users to customize Copilot for Microsoft 365. Rollout begins late October 2024, with completion by late November. Users can install and interact with these agents via Teams or the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. No admin action is required before rollout.
Microsoft 365 is introducing an improved search feature that allows users to find content related to specific people by typing their name in the search bar. This update, associated with Roadmap ID 421189, will roll out from early to late November 2024. No action is required to prepare for this update.
The ‘Monitor’ action in Microsoft Exchange Online Protection’s Safe attachments policy will be retired between February and May 2025. Organizations with policies set to ‘Monitor’ will be automatically switched to ‘Block’. Users should review and adjust their Safe attachments policies accordingly.
Custom engine agents and Teams bots will soon stream responses, offering real-time updates and incremental delivery of replies, enhancing user experience. This feature will roll out from mid-November to late-December 2024. Organizations may need to update training and documentation accordingly. Roadmap ID: 422261.
Users can apply container-level sensitivity labels to Loop workspaces to prevent oversharing and manage access effectively.

Microsoft Viva Engage will introduce community settings for the Community Resources module and Files tab, with a rollout starting late October 2024 and completing by mid-November 2024. Community admins will gain control over the visibility of these features with new toggles. Default settings will have both features visible.
