Windows announcements from Microsoft Ignite 2025

We are announcing the Quality Evaluation Agent in Dynamics 365 Customer Service. This feature reached general availability on November 14, 2025.

Copilot readiness in the Microsoft 365 admin center provides a centralized experience for applying Microsoft’s recommended settings, policies, and actions for Copilot. It organizes these into predefined packages so admins can quickly deploy Copilot securely and confidently.

Users will be able to search for Viva Engage conversations directly in the Viva Engage app for Teams.

The Microsoft 365 Copilot browser extension for Chrome brings Copilot Chat and Search directly into the browser, enabling users to ask questions, summarize webpages, and search enterprise content without switching tabs. This improves productivity, reduces context switching, and provides secure, compliant in-browser AI assistance for Microsoft 365 users.

Delegate management and remediation authority for different people in different regions or organization units with role-based access control (RBAC). For example, German investigators should be able to investigate alerts and audit events for only German users. This update extends support to SharePoint for Microsoft 365.

Microsoft 365 Copilot AI Actions will be integrated into Windows File Explorer for OneDrive files, allowing users to summarize documents and generate FAQs via a context menu. This feature requires a Copilot license, rolls out from late September 2025 to March 2026, and needs no admin setup.

Starting December 2025, Microsoft Viva Engage will change featured conversations in public communities to be elevated only for community members, not all users with access. This improves relevance and reduces noise. No changes affect private communities, all-company, or admin actions. No admin configuration needed.

Microsoft 365 Apps admin center now offers enhanced rollback in Cloud Update (public preview), allowing IT admins to roll back updates by device, group, or all devices. This improves flexibility, control, and productivity while supporting Microsoft Entra ID groups and streamlined management via the Monthly Enterprise profile page.

Starting January 6, 2026, Zero-hour auto-purge (ZAP) will be enabled by default in Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Plan 1, automatically moving malicious Teams messages to admin quarantine. Tenants can opt out before January 6, 2026, and admins manage quarantined content via the Security portal.
