Voice isolation feature for Microsoft Teams will be available on macOS desktops starting early October 2024, enhancing call clarity by suppressing background noise. Admins must enable specific policies for use. Rollout will be automatic, and users can enroll their voice profiles now in preparation.
Microsoft has launched Copilot Pages for Microsoft 365 Copilot subscribers, enabling collaborative AI interactions and multiplayer prompting. The feature is automatically enabled but comes with admin controls for customization. It starts rolling out today and will be fully available by late September 2024.
The Copilot experience for Windows is updating to include enterprise data protection at no extra cost and will be accessed via the Microsoft 365 app. Changes begin with a preview release on September 24, 2024, and a security update on October 8, 2024, for Windows 11, followed by Windows 10. Organizations should prepare by adjusting their settings and pinning the Microsoft 365 app if needed.
With Copilot, you can use natural language to describe the analysis you want to perform, and it will automatically generate, explain, and insert Python code into your Excel spreadsheet. This integration unlocks powerful analytics via Python for visualizations, cleaning data, machine learning, predictive analytics, and more—without needing to be Python proficient yourself.
Secure sites by identifying sites with “similar files” and identifying different policies and settings. Admin now choose a site and compare the contents with ALL other sites. The report provides a percentage on how similar the contents of the sites are and then compares the settings. This helps admin to identify and administer same/similar settings and policies to similar sites all using the power of AI.
Ability to target IRM policies using global Adaptive Scopes. Adaptive scopes within IRM policies allow admins to use existing adaptive scopes created on the Microsoft Purview compliance portal within IRM policies, Adaptive scopes can be created using queries to define user groups dynamically. This feature provides more powerful targeting for policies, allowing different settings to be assigned to users based on attributes from Entra ID without the administrative burden of creating and maintaining groups.
Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.
Prioritize my inbox by Copilot marks high priority mails in your inbox and provides a short summary of the mail’s importance in the message list and the reading pane. Mails can be sorted and filtered by Copilot’s priority. In Web and New Outlook for Windows, you can also choose to have Copilot mark low priority mails. #newoutlookforwindows
Recent changes to PnP PowerShell are causing authentication failures. Users experiencing errors with the PnP Management Shell app must create their own Entra application. Resolution involves updating PnP PowerShell, creating an Entra application, and setting an environment variable with the application ID. PnP PowerShell is community-supported, not officially by Microsoft.
Cloud IntelliFrame, enhancing visibility in Teams meetings, is now available on Teams mobile for iOS and Android, following its desktop availability. It will roll out worldwide mid to late November 2024, requiring no action for preparation but suggesting user notification. Roadmap ID: 415250.
