Data Export to include additional Open Graph (OG) object information

We are changing how we export information related to an Open Graph (OG) object when we export messages in Yammer.

When this will happen

We will be releasing the change in late January 2021.

How this affects your organization

Currently Yammer Data Export exports only the URL and the ID of an OG object in the Attachments column. Should a message have multiple OG objects, the format is opengraphobject:id1 : url1, opengraphobject:id2 : url2.

With this update, we will also export the OG object title and description. The new entry in the table will be: opengraphobject:id : url : title=”title” : description=”description”. If an OG object does not have a title and/or description, the entry will be: opengraphobject id : url : title=”” : description=””.

What you need to do to prepare

You might want to notify other admins about this new capability and update your training and documentation as appropriate.
