Expanded reactions in Microsoft Teams

This update will allow users to apply any emoji as a reaction to chat or channels messages. Users can choose from over 800 existing Teams emojis to express themselves the way they want. Browse all the reaction options or use the search bar to the find the reaction you want.

This feature update will also be delivered with a new reactions user experience to support the expanded reactions options. The reaction hover bar will now feature a reduced number of quick hover options to make space for an expanded reaction button. The reaction summary will also be moved from the top right of the message to the bottom of the message bubble to make space for the wide range of options that can now be added.

SharePoint app bar – Temporary window to disable is extended

The SharePoint app bar is designed to improve the global wayfinding experience while dynamically displaying personalized content. The app bar makes important content and resources more accessible no matter where you are in SharePoint.

While the app bar plays an integral role in the overall modern SharePoint experience, we acknowledge that for some customers there is a continued desire to disable the app bar. We previously shared that the SharePoint app bar can be temporarily disabled until September 30th, 2022 (MC343248 March ’22). Today we are announcing that we are extending the window for the app bar to be temporarily disabled until March 31, 2023.

Granular Policies for Request Files

We are adding new policies to Request Files & Anyone links to better enable customers to configure sharing in their tenant to match their specific needs & scenarios. With this change, customers who have chosen to disable Anyone links for OneDrive will now be able to enable Anyone links for just the Request Files feature.

Outlook on the web – Update locations to message compose options

Outlook on the web is updating where some message-compose options are located, depending on how you use Outlook.
