Records Management: Announcing public preview of multi-stage disposition review

Multi-stage disposition review in the Microsoft 365 Records Management solution enables you to create a tiered content disposition experience with up to five stages of review. Multiple reviewers can be added per stage, and reviewers will only see items assigned to them along with contextual information about the file.

As previously messaged in (MC232031) and (MC233488), as part of your data classification efforts in the Microsoft 365 compliance center you can now customize built-in classifiers (sensitive information types) to meet your organization’s needs. We are rolling out some minor feature updates to enhance this customization experience.

Apps in External Scenarios

Apps will now be available for use in external meetings and chats. Users from the host organization (the user who creates a meeting or group chat) can install, update and delete apps. External users (belonging to other organizations) invited to the meeting or chat will be able to interact with only the apps host users install.

Exchange Online Protection: Quarantine & reports portals are both getting a new look

We wanted to let you know that both the quarantine portal and the reports portal will each be getting a new look and will be available in the new Security portal at security.microsoft.com and protection.office.com.

For Admins who currently use the reporting and quarantine(including end users) portals, this new look will automatically be switched over when the features are deployed.

Reminder: Skype for Business Online retires July 31, 2021

Note: If your organization has already transitioned from Skype for Business Online to Microsoft Teams, please disregard this message.

Originally announced in MC219641 (July ’20), as Microsoft Teams has become the core communications client for Microsoft 365, this is a reminder the Skype for Business Online service will retire July 31, 2021. At that point, access to the service will end.

Microsoft Teams: Profile menu update, relocating profile menu links to a new menu in the title bar

The Me Menu updates were originally announced in MC228368 (Dec ’20). To ensure the feature was ready, the rollout was delayed and we are now ready to proceed.

Access to Settings, Zoom Controls, Keyboard Shortcuts, About, and Check for Updates is moving from the Me Menu to a new menu in the title bar. The Me Menu will be focused on account management, where users can switch to another account or tenant through the first level of the Me Menu. The following links will be moved out of the Me Menu into a new menu in the title bar:

Public preview: OneDrive Sync admin reports in the Microsoft 365 Apps Admin center

We are releasing in public preview a new dashboard for IT administrators to check OneDrive sync app versions, sync status, sync errors on individual devices, and to monitor deployment progress of Known Folder Move.
