Microsoft 365 compliance center: Insider risk management – Enhancements to Recommended Actions

Enhancements include ability to turn on email notification for key events as well as additional suggestions to maximize value. Insider Risk Management in Microsoft 365 correlates various signals from the chip to the cloud to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, security and policy violations, and more. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to ensure user-level privacy.

Teams app setup policy group assignment

App setup policies allow apps to be pre-installed and pinned to the app bar by the admin. App setup policies can now specifically be assigned to groups.

Forms distribution and email notification feature

Updates to Geospatial features for Power Apps

Currently, the Geospatial features in Power Apps that enable users to elevate their apps with a map and address input controls is powered by Azure Maps. Beginning on February 14, 2022, we are updating the capabilities to also leverage Bing Maps to enhance the overall experience.

Outlook for Windows: New location for key Outlook modules and integration with other Microsoft 365 apps – now default experience

The main modules in Outlook such as email, calendar, tasks, and people are moving to the left of the folder pane. We are also adding a way for users to quickly access To Do, Org Explorer, Yammer Communities, and Bookings directly inside Outlook. You can customize by pinning preferred Outlook and Microsoft 365 apps.

Visio: Improved interoperability between the Visio web and desktop apps

This feature will enable users to open files that were previously not supported for editing in Visio for the web. Users will be able to edit shapes with certain properties like gradients, fills, and INK objects. However, some interactions will be blocked or optimized.

Microsoft 365 compliance center: Advanced eDiscovery – Collection of Teams conversation as transcript (US gov clouds)

eDiscovery managers will soon have the flexibility to collect Teams messages as transcript items. Transcripts will aggregate and thread messages in the same Teams conversations into a single HTML file that is available for review and export. Customers will continue to have the ability to collect Teams messages as individual items as offered today.
