To give organization administrators and adoption managers better visibility into usage intensity of Microsoft 365 Copilot , the Copilot usage report will be updated to include the tenant-wide count of prompts submitted in total and per-user average. The report will include a count of prompts submitted and the active usage days per user for the selected time period (anonymized by default).
OneDrive enhancements simplify file management for departing employees by improving notifications, filtering, and enabling bulk file transfers that preserve sharing. Access transfers automatically to managers with email alerts. Rollout begins mid-October 2025, requiring no admin action but recommending informing stakeholders and updating documentation.
Starting October 3, 2025, Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat Pay-as-you-go billing plans must be set up via the Microsoft 365 admin center, not the Power Platform admin center. Existing plans remain active, and there is no impact on user experience or compliance. Admins should prepare for this transition.
Starting mid-October 2025, Microsoft Teams admin center will display risk ratings for each app permission and an overall privilege level on the App details page. This helps admins assess data access risks without changing app enablement or blocking behavior. No action is required.
The “When Sending a Message” Group Policy in Classic Outlook for Windows will be retired by January 13, 2026. New individual policies will be introduced starting October 14, 2025, requiring admins to migrate and configure settings separately for more granular control.
