We’ve released updates to the following update channels for Microsoft 365 Apps:

Starting September 2025, Microsoft Authenticator on iOS will use iCloud and iCloud Keychain for backup and restore, eliminating the need for a Microsoft personal account. This update simplifies setup on new devices, with automatic backup of account names and third-party TOTP credentials. No admin action is required.

Self-nomination for community experts in Viva Engage will be available from early to mid-July 2025. Members can request to become experts via a new link, and admins can review and manage these requests. Admins can also disable the self-nomination feature if desired. No tenant-level action is required.

Microsoft Purview is simplifying its sensitivity labeling scheme to consist only of labels and label groupings. This dynamic architecture will improve label usability and configuration. Manual migration will be available for applicable tenants, with a preview wizard to assist admins. The rollout begins in July 2025 and completes by August 2025.
