This is a reminder regarding a previous message center post “Stream Migration Tool and Delay Settings are Now Generally Available” MC516263

Starting on October 15, 2023 your users will no longer be able to access Stream (Classic) unless you take action to delay this change. This change can be delayed until April 15, 2024. Overview of Windows Backup as installed in Windows 10 and Windows 11

The Windows Backup system component is installed on devices as part of Windows updates released on and after August 22, 2023. This component is designed to provide a cloud solution to back up files and folders, settings, credentials, and apps. In addition to restoring data, users can import data when switching to a new Windows device.

The refreshed landing experience for Viva Connections introduces several requested new features including branding capabilities, sending announcements, a revamped Resources section, and support for different card sizes. The refreshed landing experience also brings the feed back into the viewport on your Connections page and offers an improved layout to the landing page.

Microsoft Security email update and Resources for Azure AD rename to Microsoft Entra ID

Microsoft Entra ID is the new name for Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). The rename and new product icon are now being deployed across experiences from Microsoft. Most updates will be complete by mid-November of this year.

As previously announced, this is just a new name, with no impact on deployments or daily work, and no changes to capabilities, licensing, terms of service, or support.

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – recommendations for new policies and policy finetuning

Microsoft Purview DLP overview page will have two new cards: for DLP with 2 Cards that show Analytics with 1-click recommendations: Highlighting the key risk and the option to create a one-click policy to mitigate the risk, and Recommendation to fine tune existing DLP policies to make them effective and reduce alerts.

Outlook: Follow a meeting in new Outlook for Windows and web

Follow is a new meeting response (RSVP) option that goes beyond the traditional Accept, Tentative and Decline choices geared towards individuals with high meeting loads and conflicting meetings each day.

Follow is the ideal RSVP option for meetings you can’t attend but still want to stay engaged and receive info about. Other attendees will be able to see if you are following a meeting. This feature will be available in the new Outlook for Windows and Outlook on the web.
