Microsoft Teams: Automatically view up to 49 videos (7×7) in Teams meeting for GCC-High and DoD

Microsoft Teams Meetings currently supports a maximum of 9 videos (3×3) on the screen by default (i.e., Gallery view). For seeing more than 9 videos, user needs to manually select the Large Gallery view. With this update, users will be able to automatically see up to 49 videos (7×7) on their screen by default without an explicit action. The actual number of videos seen by a user will depend on hardware/device capabilities.

Microsoft Teams: View switcher improvement for Teams Rooms on Windows

Teams Rooms on Windows’ view switcher now has an updated interface where you can easily control views in a meeting. Customize your view such as turning on and off meeting chat or choosing what to see on the front row’s left and right panels. IT admins can configure default number of panels and default component on panel(s).

Word: Editor using Context IQ Inline search within documents

Editor using Context IQ allows users to easily search for and insert entities like People, Files, Viva Topics, or Loops in their document while staying in flow. When users type the “@“ key, a menu will appear that allows them to search for, filter, and insert entities that exist across their M365 account.

Power BI: Power BI content in Microsoft 365 Graph

This integration gives you the option to actively interact with and view your Power BI content. Your PBI content can be seen through ‘Recommended’ content within Office Hub and search on Office.com, SharePoint Online, and Bing@Work. You will also be able to see the actions taken on Power BI content such as who viewed it, edited it, or shared the content with you. The Public Preview is available now.

Microsoft Teams: Receive all group chat messages with RSC

The resource-specific consent (RSC) permissions model, originally developed for Teams Graph APIs, is extended for chat and channel scope. Using RSC, you can now request team owners to consent for a bot to receive user messages across standard group chats without being @mentioned.

Office for the web rebrand on Service health and Message center

In October we announced at Microsoft Ignite that the Office app for web (office.com), Windows, IOS, and Android will be rebranded to become the Microsoft 365 app (MC446132). As a continuation of this, the service listings on Service health and Message center will also be rebranded. In the month of November, the service titled “Office for the web” will be retitled “Microsoft 365 apps for the web”.
