Intune moving to support Android 10 and later for user-based management methods in October 2024

In October 2024, Intune will only support Android 10 and later for user-based management methods. Devices on Android 9 or earlier will not receive technical support, bug fixes, or guaranteed feature functionality. Admins should prepare by updating support statements and configuring relevant policies.

Introducing Windows 11 checkpoint cumulative updates

In late 2024, checkpoint cumulative updates will be introduced for devices running Windows 11, version 24H2 or later and Windows Server 2025. This means that updating your Windows devices will involve smaller update files, resulting in a quicker and more efficient update experience. You will begin to receive checkpoint cumulative updates automatically, with no action required from you. 90-Day Reminder: The second phase of Kerberos PAC signature validation vulnerability mitigation begins October 15, 2024

Starting October 15, 2024, the Enforced by Default phase of Kerberos PAC signature validation mitigation begins. Updates released on or after this date will move all Windows domain controllers and clients in the environment to Enforced mode, enforcing the secure behavior by default. The Enforced by Default settings can be overridden by an Administrator to revert to Compatibility mode.

Microsoft Intune: Enrollment time grouping for iOS/iPadOS automated device enrollment

Enrollment time grouping for iOS/iPadOS automated device enrollment (ADE) ensures targeted apps and policies can get to devices faster and reduce latency of device setup. ETG will only be part of new iOS/iPadOS enrollment policies. Admins can add a static Entra ID group into the enrollment policy, so devices will be part of that group upon enrollment, reducing latency of targeted policies and apps.
