Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Sensitivity labels protection policy support for Azure SQL, Azure Storage, and Amazon S3

Label-based protection support is now possible for Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Amazon S3 buckets, all within Microsoft Purview Information Protection. You may already know how to protect Microsoft 365 data like documents or emails with sensitivity labels, and you will now be able to apply these labels and the related protections to these additional sources. In addition, you will have a consistent framework for your sensitive information by allowing your existing label scheme and extending it to apply within these sources.

Microsoft Purview: Data Loss Prevention for endpoints-Archive File Support for Mac Endpoints

DLP will inspect the content of every archive file when it is created, modified, or read. On inspection, all the files (of supported file format) within the archive file will be classified and evaluated against active DLP policies. Afterwards, the archive file will get the applicable auditing / enforcement policy applied to it based on the following logic.

Microsoft Intune: Managed device attestation for iOS/iPadOS and macOS device enrollment and ADE

Intune is bringing ACME and managed device attestation support for eligible Apple devices to GA. This includes device enrollment and ADE enrollments, including AC2. This applies to new enrollments with device enrollment (BYOD) and new enrollments with ADE or Apple Configurator tool.

Adaptive Protection in Microsoft Purview helps you protect your organization’s data by integrating dynamic insider risk levels, determined by data related activities, with various policy engines to automatically moving users in and out of policies as their risk levels change over time. The integration with Data Lifecycle Management will automatically apply retention labels to preserve deleted emails and files based on a user’s insider risk level.

Microsoft Purview | Generative AI: Hub in public preview

The message details the public preview of Microsoft Purview Generative AI Hub, which helps organizations secure data in AI applications. It offers insights, data protection policies, and compliance controls. The preview begins in early May 2024, with general availability in mid-November 2024. Organizations should prepare by reviewing the admin documentation. The hub will be visible in the Microsoft Purview portal and includes analytics, policies, and activity explorer tabs. Roadmap ID 188510 is associated with this update.

Microsoft Teams: Changes to in-app feedback experience and feedback policy (Teams Desktop and Teams for web)

Microsoft Teams is updating the in-app feedback experience and policy for Desktop and Web versions. A new Feedback option will be added to the Settings menu, and Teams will switch to Microsoft 365 feedback policies. Rollout begins early June 2024, with completion expected by late June 2024. Admins should review and update feedback policies accordingly.
