We are removing the “Turn on file synchronization via SOAP Over HTTP” policy from Group Policy. This policy allows IT admins to turn file synchronization via SOAP over HTTP on or off for Office.
When is this change taking effect?
The Emissions Impact Dashboard (EID) for Microsoft 365 is a Power BI application that quantifies carbon emissions associated with your organization’s usage of Microsoft 365 applications like Exchange, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams. Power BI Pro users will now be able to install the generally available version of EID for Microsoft 365.

Storyline is a new way for people to share, connect, and contribute to their organization through Yammer and the Viva Engage app. Previously, the only way to share broadly through Yammer was through communities, but communities aren’t always a perfect fit for what people want to share. In some cases, there may not be a community that matches the subject the person wants to discuss. In other cases, the community’s audience may be too broad, or not broad enough.

An automatic browser screen will now launch for users when an incoming PSTN call is accepted in Microsoft Teams. The browser screen will display relevant information to the user (CRM data, case data, etc.).

As part of the Teams Premium announcement, these existing features will move to Teams Premium when it becomes available in February.

With this improved experience, editors will be able to see and request third-party apps while editing the Dashboard for Viva. The “Browse more cards” section will be added in the toolbox, showing up the third-party apps that complement Viva Connections.
Configure label policies for email messages with attachments to inherit labels that match the highest classification of those attachments.
Configure Data Loss Prevention policies to enable policy tips for emails with sensitivity labels.
A new web interface for the Viva Insights app will be discoverable via the web, and the Microsoft 365 app launcher on Office.com. This will offer an additional way to access the personal productivity and wellbeing experiences currently in the Viva Insights app in Teams, and will include a link to the MyAnalytics dashboard for users who want to reflect on insights related to their work habits.
