We have turned on intra-organizational protection by default for high-confidence phishing messages that contain a malicious or spam-based URLs in Microsoft Defender for Office 365. We are doing this along with the handling of intra-organizational messages (MC577356).

With the introduction of Town halls in Microsoft Teams, Teams Live Events will be retired for commercial customers on September 30, 2024. This provides commercial customers with a 12-month window to prepare for the retirement and transition off Teams Live Events.

To simplify the virtual event experience on Teams, we are integrating our live event capabilities into our Teams meeting experience. This will create a unified experience for users whether they are hosting a small meeting, customer-facing webinar, or company-wide town hall. As a part of this integration, we are introducing Town halls in Microsoft Teams, a new experience to host and deliver large-scale, internal events to create connections across an organization. Town halls will provide a one-to-many format with advanced production capabilities and a structured approach for attendee engagement. With town halls, customers can host various types of internal as well as external events including company-wide town halls, all hands, global team meetings, internal broadcasts, fireside chats, and more.

Set up and host large scale events across an organization with the familiar Teams app you use for webinars and meetings. Town hall capabilities include a new meeting template, capacity for up to 10K attendees, third-party eCDN support, green room, manage what attendees see, moderated Q&A, RTMP-in, live translated captions, and more.
Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management will now support Teams Panels. Teams Panels will appear under Inventory and Rooms. If a Panel is sharing a resource account with a Teams Room or Surface Hub, the Panel will appear in the Inventory list for the room. The Admin capabilities for panels include viewing the health status, app version, firmware version, and serial number of the device. Admins can also record an issue, remotely restart, apply config profiles, create groups, and add rooms with Teams panels.
The BYOD (bring your own device) rooms in the Pro Management Portal provides IT admins with a comprehensive overview of their BYOD rooms’ utilization and activities.
With this new addition, IT admins will gain valuable insights into how these spaces are being utilized, enabling them to make data driven decisions.
In the Shifts app, people count, and full names, will show in the calendar view. The most recent
filter settings will be saved automatically. Managers will be able to add inline notes in the day view, and notes can also be added using the Graph API.
