With this update, you can now record spreadsheet actions into a replayable Office Script in Excel for Windows and Mac. Office Scripts is a feature that enables you to automate repetitive spreadsheet tasks that was previously only available in Excel for the web.
With updates coming in February, praises received will be highlighted on a user’s profile card in Teams. There are user settings available that prevent praise highlights from being visible on their profile card.
We are announcing the General Availability of Viva Topics for our Yammer customers.
The General Availability of Viva Topics for Yammer experiences enables us to leverage a more robust and secure infrastructure for Topics. It also enables organizations to use these Topics outside of Yammer (for example, Topics can be tagged in Teams chats or in Outlook messages).
App flyouts are contextual menus found throughout the Microsoft Teams experience that enable users to launch installed apps and to discover and install new apps within the specific context the user is in. For example, when a user opens the Message Extension (ME) app flyout from a group chat, they are shown all of their ME-enabled installed apps which can be used within that group chat. Engaging with apps via the flyout allows users to remain in their flow of work and reduces confusion regarding the app capabilities within that context.

Microsoft Visio is announcing the retirement of the Translate and LookUp features for Visio 2021 LTSC.
We’re adding a new feature to Teams
Beginning in February, users in your organization will be able to use expanded views of the profile card in Teams. The expanded view is already available in Outlook and includes more information, like an overview of the profile, contact information, organizational chart, and LinkedIn tab.
Viva Goals is now rolling out new simplified list and detail views to customer tenants. This rollout will complete in late January 2023.
The new view offers a refreshed information hierarchy with a flexible spreadsheet-like interface. It will allow you to resize column as well as access key information like status, progress, commentary, check-in history, alignment, and other OKR details by clicking on the cell. The user will have greater control over visualizing OKRs with multiple options for grouping, expanding, showing and hiding panels within the view. In the first half of 2023, we will be introducing additional customization and filtering options for data columns.
