[Update] jQuery 2.1.1 retirement in Microsoft Power Apps service

As part of a recent service update designed to improve security within Microsoft Power Apps, we recently upgraded jQuery from 2.1.1 to version 3.6.0, which made jquery-2.1.1.min.js unavailable within your environment. We have restored jquery-2.1.1.min.js for use in your environment on Friday, October 21, 2022, and have temporarily postponed its retirement until October 2023.

How does this affect me?

We have detected that your environment is utilizing our jQuery static resource endpoint. This update should unblock scripts and files that utilized hardcoded links to the previous jQuery version and were affected by this recent change.

Multiple Yammer Networks Within Single Tenant No Longer Supported (1:Many Mode)

Yammer is committed to strengthening the alignment of Yammer to Microsoft 365. This means we will no longer support tenants having more than one non-external Yammer network. This change will ensure Yammer networks have the same organizational boundaries as their corresponding Microsoft 365 tenants.

Coming soon to public preview, Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance policies will allow filtering of bulk emails such as newsletters to help customers reduce noise and false positives. The setting can be configured at the per-policy level.

We’re updating the search tools, recommendations, and layout of both locations so it’s easier to find step-by-step guides for the product or scenario you’re deploying. You’ll also see new guides on setup.microsoft.com that are currently available only within the Microsoft 365 admin center.

Stories available for public preview in Yammer and Microsoft Viva Engage beginning early November

Beginning in early November, Yammer Network and Verified Admins will be able to opt into the public preview of stories for Microsoft Viva Engage and Yammer, via a toggle control in Yammer.

Stories build on the benefits of Storyline by allowing users to share short videos or photos that deliver a familiar, delightful way to catch up and stay connected with people you work with and interesting people across the organization. Create or upload a story on your storyline to share a quick update, capture an experience, express yourself, or amplify existing content.

Update Microsoft 365 Admin Mobile app to Continue Receiving Notifications

We are doing a revamp of push notification messages for the Microsoft 365 Admin mobile app. We have rolled these changes out starting with iOS app version 4.3.4 and Android app version 4.5.3. Users on old app versions may not receive all notifications.

When this will happen:This update will roll out in late October and users on old app versions of the Microsoft 365 admin mobile app may not receive all of their notifications once rolled out.
