Viva Engage will add an admin toggle (rolling out October 2025) to control the Move conversation feature. By default, all users can move conversations; turning the toggle off restricts this to specific roles like admins and corporate communicators. No action is needed unless restriction is desired.

Microsoft Purview Portal’s DLP Alerts page now offers a unified, faster view with event details accessible in one click, four new columns for enhanced context, and improved performance. Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management: Data Security Investigations integration

Launch a pre-scoped Data Security Investigation (DSI) from an IRM case. When a data security admin identifies a risky user who needs deeper investigation, they can launch a pre-scoped investigation directly from an IRM case, allowing them to view content analysis related to that user and better assess post-incident data impact. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Microsoft Teams: User reporting for incorrectly identified security concerns

Microsoft Teams will let users report messages incorrectly flagged as security threats, available to organizations with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Plan 2 or Defender XDR. The feature launches in September 2025 (Targeted Release) and November 2025 (General Availability), requiring admin enablement in Teams and Defender portals.

Action Required: Update firewall configurations to include new Intune network endpoints

By December 2, 2025, update firewall rules to include new Azure Front Door IP ranges (tagged “AzureFrontDoor.MicrosoftSecurity”) for Microsoft Intune. This ensures uninterrupted device and app management connectivity. Keep existing Intune endpoints and notify your IT/network team to implement these changes.
