This week we are rolling out the Microsoft 365 app for the web. This was first announced at Microsoft Ignite in October 2022 and is being implemented as a phased roll out. It’s expected to reach all customers in the next few weeks.

This experience replaces the Office.com experience and aligned with the Office apps for web, Windows, and mobile. The change includes a rebranding of Office.com as well as various enhancements. Customers can expect to see a new URL, new visual style, and a new favicon. In addition, we will introduce a few new features in the coming weeks.

Text Formatting Support for Microsoft Whiteboard

The ability to format all or a portion of text in text boxes, notes and shapes is coming soon to Whiteboard web, Teams and the Windows app (mobile users will be able to view formatted text but not format it).

Integrations in Viva Goals help save time and energy by automatically updating your key results and projects through connections to other applications from Microsoft and third parties. These integrations allow data to flow from the connected applications into Viva Goals so that results and projects are up to date. This feature removes the per label 1,000,000 item limit for items pending disposition review and proof of disposition (reviewed) including record labels. The tenant limit of 16,000,000 total items pending disposition and disposed still exists.

New Teams Policy setting to control access to “Suggest a Feature” menu

We are adding a new parameter to the csTeamsFeedbackPolicy called EnableFeatureSuggestions which will allow Teams admins to hide/show the Help | Suggest a Feature menu.

The value stored in the M365 policy “Allow the use of additional optional connected experiences in Office” will be copied into a new Teams policy parameter in csTeamsFeedbackPolicy called EnableFeatureSuggestions. If this value in M365 was never set in the past, then the new policy parameter EnableFeatureSuggestions will be set to True.
