Parent Connection allows teachers to communicate with the guardians of a student. To enable parent-teacher communication, admins can now choose either email or SMS as their preferred Parent Connection invitation channel. Sending messages in an SMS-heavy market makes it easier to connect with Parents while keeping teachers’ experience simple. These messages sent to parents and guardians will be in plain text, without HTML, formatting, or styles applied. Frontline workers such as retail associates, flight crew members, and field service workers often use a shared mobile device to do their work. That becomes problematic when they start sharing passwords or pin numbers to access customer and business data on the shared device. Shared device mode allows you to configure an Android device so that it can be easily shared by multiple employees. Employees can sign in and access customer information quickly. When they’re finished with their shift or task, they can sign out of the device and it will be immediately ready for the next employee to use. Shared device mode also provides Microsoft identity backed management of the device.

Given the sensitivity of Audit log data, many organizations want to add additional layers of protection, including encryption. Customer Managed Key (CMK) allows Organizations to use their own keys giving them control over their encryption. With this update, admins will have the ability to encrypt their Audit log data using CMK.

Retention policies for Microsoft Teams are being extended to include CDR messages (system-generated messages from Teams meetings). Up until now, only messages generated after October 2022 were supported for retention. This update extends coverage to messages created before October 2022, so that old and new are now supported in the same manner.
