Support for Office 2016 and Office 2019 will end October 14, 2025: Upgrade recommended

Microsoft Project for web: Roadmap admin toggle | Microsoft Planner: New Portfolios feature

Microsoft is introducing a new Portfolios feature in Planner for Premium license holders, which includes a list of plans and a Roadmap. Admins can enable/disable this feature and the existing Roadmap in Project for the web via the Microsoft 365 admin center. Publishing new InfoPath Forms in SharePoint Online will not be allowed for inactive tenants in this December

Starting December 2024, Microsoft will block new InfoPath Forms publication in SharePoint Online for tenants not using the service, as part of the deprecation process ending July 14, 2026. Tenants should review impact, run assessments, and consider modern alternatives like Power Apps, Power Automate, or Microsoft Forms. Existing forms will remain usable.

Microsoft Exchange Online: New fields for Exchange mailbox schema

Project for the Web Email Notification Update

The update to Project for the Web will change email notifications. Groups with 50 or fewer members will receive individual emails when a project or roadmap is shared. Larger groups will not. This rollout starts mid-November 2024 and ends late November 2024. Organizations should update relevant documentation and processes.

We’re making some changes to our billing periods for products purchased per seat

Billing periods for products per seat are changing. New customers or those with invoices starting with “G” will be affected. Invoices will now be issued the day after the subscription start date or anniversary. Transition may cause two invoices in one month. Preparation involves checking billing timing under “Your products.”

Microsoft Exchange admin center: New URL

The Microsoft Exchange admin center (EAC) has a new URL available now, with redirection from the old URL starting late October 2024 and completing by late December 2024. Both URLs will work until further notice. Organizations should whitelist the new URL and update bookmarks and documentation. No admin action is required before the rollout.
