Removing the option to use ‘Office Presentation Service’ from the Windows version of PowerPoint

We will be retiring the feature ‘Office Presentation Service’ from the Windows version of PowerPoint (starting with build 16.0.14122.100000). We will be removing the ‘Office Presentation Service’ option/button from the “Present Online” menu under SlideShow ribbon in PowerPoint for Windows. Instead we recommend the utilization of “Present Live” in PowerPoint for the Web which is where we will continue to invest.

Search across images with Microsoft Search

We’re rolling out image search to Microsoft Search. Image search in Microsoft provides a new search vertical to provide better search capabilities for images in your organization. After this change, a new image vertical will be available to allow for scoping your search results to images that satisfy the intent of the query.

Update reminder: Headspace mindfulness content in Microsoft Viva Insights is here

As stated in April of this year (MC243209), additional updates are being delivered with this app update. The Microsoft Viva Insights app in Teams will introduce a curated set of guided meditations and focus music from Headspace. This will be accessible via the app Home page to help users start their day grounded, relax their mind before a big meeting, or find focus before starting an important project.

The feature will initially only be available to those users who have English as their default Teams language.

Title changes for Microsoft 365 Apps updates published to the Microsoft Update Catalog

IT admins using Automatic Deployment Rules to deploy updates for Microsoft 365 Apps can use the updated titles to identify the desired update for automatic deployment without having to adjust the rule for every update cycle.

Reminder: Retiring Delve mobile for iOS and Android

As originally announced in MC242486 (March, 21), we will retire Delve mobile for iOS and Android on June 1, 2021. We recommend Outlook Mobile instead, which has similar features available. You’ll find profile information and files on the profile cards, and recommended documents on the Search tab. We’ll continue to invest development resources to improve the functionality in Outlook Mobile.

PowerPoint Live: Present to Teams from PowerPoint for Mac

This new feature release will bring the PowerPoint Live in Teams entry point into PowerPoint for Mac. Clicking the “Present in Teams” button in PowerPoint will be the only step you need to take to present the deck in your Teams meeting.
