Microsoft Teams: Enable zooming while viewing screenshare

Active speaker is a new view added to Microsoft Teams meetings. It highlights the active speaker while still showing the rest of the participants in the meeting. Users can use this new view through the view switcher in a meeting.

When composing a 1:1 message in Teams chat after-hours, users will see schedule send suggestions that enable postponing message delivery until the start of the chat recipient’s working hours. Schedule send suggestions will be available as default on.

Enabling dial-in, dial-out and call-me PSTN participants to join breakout rooms and come back to the main room when breakout rooms end.

Microsoft Teams will support Targeted Release. When an admin sets release preferences to one of the Targeted Release options, those users will be first to see the latest updates and help shape the product by providing early feedback. You can choose to have individuals, or the entire organization receive updates early.

Closed Captions will now be supported for embedded videos in PowerPoint Live for Teams. If the video contains out-of-band closed captions, all viewers will automatically have the option to turn closed captions on for the video.

With this support, users opted-in to Targeted Release will be the first production users to see the latest Microsoft Teams features and help shape the product by providing early feedback.
Prior to this, Targeted Release provided early access to OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, Office for the web, Microsoft 365 admin center and some components of Exchange Online.

To rename or delete a file in a channel, go to the files tab and find the file you want. Then select More options (the three dots) on the file.

The in-context stores are found in menus throughout the Teams experience that let users discover and install apps that support the specific context the user is in. For example, when a user opens the Message extension (ME) in-context store they are shown a selection of apps that have the ME capability. Discovering apps in the in-context Store keeps users in their flows and reduces the
confusion regarding the apps capability users face today when installing apps from the Store.

Visio will be available soon as a Teams Personal App. There are no changes to the existing file open behavior, however there are new abilities that the Visio Personal App can provide. Additionally, this change comes with a number of UX improvements to the Office ribbon in Teams to provide a decluttered experience consistent with Office for the Web.
