Announcements allows you to create and share time-sensitive messages in Viva Connections. You can set up, manage, and schedule announcements from your organization’s SharePoint home site or the Viva Connections app in Teams desktop.
We are making some changes to the search experience in Viva Connections app to make it easier to search in Viva Connections.
Users can soon quickly navigate to a section of their contact list in Outlook by selecting the letter or character that corresponds to the section they wish to view and interact with.

Org Explorer helps you visualize and explore your company’s internal structure, work teams, and individual roles. This experience, available in Outlook for Desktop, is now coming to Outlook on the web. Org Explorer is a part of the People in Viva service plan, which is a part of the Microsoft Viva Suite subscription.
Organizers can soon publish the recording of their webinars and automatically send an update to their attendees, in which they will receive a link to watch the on-demand recording hosted on their event page.

Starting in September 2023, we will begin including new Microsoft Teams as part of the new and existing installations of Microsoft 365 apps for Windows depending on the schedule provided in this post. Currently, users can install the new Teams by using the Try the new Teams toggle switch in classic Teams or having administrators bulk deploy directly to the computers in their organization. Read MC533687 and MC617066 for details for earlier announcements for new Teams.
Administrators can exclude installing new Teams from their Microsoft 365 apps deployment if they don’t wish to have new Teams included in the installation.
When a third-party meeting is created from Outlook or OWA, participants of the meeting will now be able to Join the meeting directly from Microsoft Teams. The participants will see “Join” button on the Teams calendar events card and in the meeting details page. On clicking on the Join button, the link will route the users to the browser or the third-party application to join the meeting. This experience will be available on both mobile and desktop.

Outlook mobile users can give author, editor, and reviewer permissions to their inbox from the mobile experience.
They can also give view, edit, and delegate permissions to their calendar.
