Track and pause firmware auto-updates for Teams devices from Teams admin center

We are introducing enhancements to firmware auto-updates for Android-based Teams devices in Teams admin center.

These enhancements –

  • Make it easier to organize devices to manage rollout of new releases.
  • Improve visibility into the update process – which devices are getting updated and when.
  • Improve the regularity with which devices receive updates.
  • Make the update process more robust by adding additional internal guardrails.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 119389

When this will happen:

How this will affect your organization:

  • New widget which displays active updates along with their detailsAdmins can select “View details” to view releases that are currently rolling out for their tenant, including information such as device model, number of devices eligible, and active phase.
