Update on UserVoice sites

Microsoft has partnered with UserVoice, a third-party service, to communicate with customers and collect feedback. We will be moving away from UserVoice feedback sites throughout the 2021 calendar year on a product-by-product basis as we look to move to 1st party solutions.

Announcing new self-service products

New Teams DLP policy recommendation widget

We are introducing a policy recommendation widget within the Microsoft 365 compliance center for data loss prevention (DLP) for Microsoft Teams. If you currently have already created at least one Teams DLP-related policy in your policy portfolio, you will not see the recommendation widget.

Announcing redirect of compliance solutions from legacy SCC portal to M365 compliance center

The Microsoft 365 compliance center provides easy access to the data and tools you need to manage your organization’s compliance needs. It is the recommended portal for compliance solutions.

We will soon begin redirecting users from the legacy Security & Compliance Center (SCC) portal to the Microsoft 365 compliance center for the following solutions: Audit log, Data loss prevention, Information governance, and Records management. This is a continuation of our migration to the Microsoft 365 compliance center; we began redirecting users there to access Advanced eDiscovery in September 2020 (MC223174).

Service Health email notifications for specific incidents and advisories

As was previously announced in MC225596, the service health dashboard in Microsoft 365 admin center will soon support the ability to opt in to email notifications for a specific incident or advisory. This feature will allow you to input up to two email addresses to receive status updates for a specific issue including notification when the issue is resolved.

Up Down Close New browser usage reports available to support your organization’s migration to Microsoft Edge

Coming soon, IT admins will be able to view Microsoft browser usage, alongside other Microsoft products like SharePoint and OneDrive, on the usage dashboard of the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. This new report will allow IT admins to see browser usage trends, in response to the retirement milestone for Microsoft Edge Legacy (March 9, 2021).

With the retirement announcement and migration planning, we received requests for a browser usage reporting tool that would allow IT admins to see Microsoft Edge Legacy usage and progress on migration to the new Microsoft Edge browser. The Microsoft browser usage report will allow IT admins the option of accessing browser usage data for their organization.
