Simplifying Meeting Join Experiences on Teams Mobile

We are improving the meeting join experience on Teams Mobile (iOS / Android) in several ways:

  1. Streamlining the meeting join process by reducing the number of steps it takes to join the meeting, particularly for users joining from externally of the organization.
  2. Users who join without signing in will now have the capability to preset and preview video / audio settings prior to joining the meeting.
  3. Simplifying the join process for users with multiple accounts by improving the account switching user experience.

Microsoft Viva: New Location for Saved Feed Items on Viva Connections Mobile

Viva Connections Mobile users will soon see a new UI change. The home for saved links is moving from the app title bar into the Feed tab for improved alignment and access. This update will make it easy to toggle between the fresh feed and your saved items.

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Named entity coverage for additional markets and languages (U.S. Government clouds)

Named entities are sensitive information types (SITs) that can’t easily be identified by a regular expression or a function; these include person names, physical addresses, and medical terms and conditions. This update expands name and address coverage to an additional 7 countries, such as China and Russia, and expands medical terms and conditions (specifically for the Diseases SIT) to an additional 29 languages covering much of Europe, China, Japan, and Korea.

Microsoft Teams: Watermark support for recording playback (Premium)

Recording can now be enabled for watermarked meetings (Watermark feature requires a Teams Premium license). An email ID will be displayed as the watermark during the meeting recording playback. Once a meeting has concluded, users can access the recorded content on both web and mobile platforms to watch the recording with watermarking.

Teams Panels Recognized and Visible in Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal

We are pleased to announce that Teams Panels will soon appear and be supported in the Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal. Panels will start to appear under the Rooms and Inventory pages. The device health signals and management functionality will be similar to what is offered on Teams Rooms on Android devices.

Microsoft Teams: Extended Real-time Telemetry Retention Up To Seven Days

The Real-Time Analytics feature in the Teams admin center (TAC) allows IT admins to view their users’ meetings and identify issues related to audio, video, content sharing, and network connectivity. As an admin, you can use this information to investigate and address any problems with the meeting experience while the meeting is ongoing.
