Featured conversations in public Viva Engage communities can now be promoted to all network members or just community members, while private community features remain member-only. This rollout begins late April 2026, requires no admin action, and maintains existing permissions and moderation rules.

We are announcing the ability for makers to create Dataverse AI prompt columns in Microsoft Dataverse. This feature will reach general availability on May 4, 2026.

Before joining a meeting on your pre-join screen, you can test your microphone and speaker to make sure others will hear you clearly. Select Test mic and speaker to record a short audio clip and play it back. This helps you confirm that the right devices are selected and that you’ll be heard—and hear others—once the meeting starts.

Copilot will be able to find meetings based on topics or keywords from relevant data like meeting body, chat and transcription.

You can now choose your preferred image model including OpenAI’s GPT Image, Flux, or Auto for smart, dynamic selection when creating or editing images with Copilot in PowerPoint, or when generating a new presentation or page.

With this feature, IRM alerts and other supporting data will be available in the following Microsoft Defender XDR experiences:
1. IRM alerts will be surfaced in unified alert and Incident queue in Microsoft Defender XDR.
2. IRM alerts, Indicators and enriched events will be available in Microsoft Defender XDR advanced hunting. Analysts can leverage KQL queries to identify potentially hidden risky patterns in data security related user activity.
3. IRM alert, Indicators and enriched events will be exposed through Graph API.
This feature can be enabled through “Share data with Microsoft Defender XDR” within Microsoft Insider Risk Management settings
IRM data in Microsoft Defender XDR does not honor anonymization. This is to enable effective correlation of IRM alerts with alerts from other solutions in Microsoft Defender XDR platform (such as Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud apps, etc.).
Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

GCC-H and DoD cloud customers can now experience multi-camera views in Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows, allowing remote participants to switch between multiple in-room camera feeds for improved visibility and engagement in larger spaces. This feature empowers authors to create rich, interactive charts with AI in SharePoint when editing SharePoint pages. Authors can describe the chart they want to create in plain language within a chat on a SharePoint page.

GCC-H and DoD customers can now experience multi-stream IntelliFrame in Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows, which sends separate video feeds of each in-room participant to improve hybrid meeting visibility and inclusivity. Requires a compatible intelligent camera. Available with Teams Rooms Pro.
